Ready for a little Texas Heat!
Katie Lane's TROUBLE IN TEXAS blog tour!
bout TROUBLE IN TEXAS:
THERE'S A FOX IN THE HENHOUSEInheriting the most notorious house of ill repute in Texas can spell trouble for a girl's reputation . . . especially when she's Elizabeth Murphy, Bramble's prim and proper librarian. Yet when she discovers a buck-naked cowboy handcuffed to a four-poster bed, she forgets all about the town gossips. Elizabeth has sworn off men, but the stranger's kisses melt her resolve faster than ice cream on a hot summer day.
Waking up in Miss Hattie's Henhouse isn't how Brant Cates reckoned on getting to the bottom of his great-granddaddy's murder. The plan was to solve the centuries-old crime, then get the heck out of Dodge. But after meeting Elizabeth and discovering that the buttoned-up beauty is a sexy siren in disguise, he just can't pull himself away.
Now Brant needs Elizabeth to finally put his past to rest, but is she willing to risk her future on Bramble's newest bad boy?
About Katie Lane:
Katie Lane's interest in romance was sparked in high school in the backseat of a '65 Mustang-okay, so maybe it wasn't romance as much as raging teenage hormones. Still, coupled with a wild imagination, those make-out sessions inspired many a steamy storyline along with a strong belief that true love does prevail. Katie lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with the owner of that Mustang and would love to hear from her readers.

My Review:
I loved this book - Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. I liked how well the characters were described. Some of them are quite funny!
Brant Cates is on the way to his brothers wedding when he stops at Miss Hattie's Henhouse. He wanted to do a bit of investigating as to how his great granddaddy was murdered. When he arrived at the Henhouse he thought maybe no one was there, but then one of the three old ladies who lived there shot at him. The first went over his head but the second one hit his arm. It was not bad really only grazed his arm, but he was going to call the sheriff. Since this was the second time Minnie had shot someone she didn't want him calling the sheriff she would be in trouble for sure. So she decided to drug Brant and handcuff him to the bed upstairs.
Elizabeth was the town librarian and the old maid in town. She was also related to the three old woman at the Miss Hattie's Henhouse and the owner of it. She was trying to get the ladies to move elsewhere but was having trouble convincing them to move. She was visiting them and thought it was odd that they kept looking upstairs. So when she left she decided to sneak upstairs to see what could be up there. She found herself in bed with Brant and he was still under the influnce of the drugs he was given so thought Elizabeth was Miss Hattie and ended up giving Elizabeth a few hot kisses.
You will have to read the book to find out what happens next. Does Elizabeth and Brant end up dating? Do she end up getting the ladies to move? I think you will enjoy this book with a bit of Texas heat!!
