My Review:
I really love the cover of this book, I know you are not to judge a book by the cover but if I don’t like the cover I don’t read the book, but I love the soft colors and design of Mrs. Drew Plays her Hand.

Roxanna Drew's husband dies and she is left to take care of her two young daughters.  Her brother-in-law offers to take care of her and take care of her girls.  He implied that she would have to warm his bed at night, which she was not going to do.

Roxanna is a strong woman and found a house that need some work to live in and talked to the caretaker to see if she could live there and that she would fix it up.  Which he accepted and helped her fix the roof and windows.

Lord Winn is the owner of the land and was visiting all his property, he arrived one snowy night and needed a place to stay.  He was hoping the old widow renting the house would let him stay on her couch.  Lord Winn was very surprised to see the young attractive Widow.   He ended up spending more time on this property than he had planned, and when Mrs. Drew's brother-in-law showed up Lord Winn let him know his place and that he should not come back.

I don't want to tell you too much of the story but I love this book; I had a hard time putting it down.  I am going to look for some more of Carla Kelley's books.  I would defiantly recommend reading this book.
