Better Than Chocolate

Sweet Dreams Chocolate Company has been in the Sterling family for generations, ever since Great-Grandma Rose literally dreamed up her first fabulous recipe. But now it looks as if they’re about to lose Sweet Dreams to the bank—and that would be a disaster, not only for the family but for the town of Icicle Falls, Washington. Can Samantha, the oldest daughter and new head of the company, come up with a way to save it?
After Samantha does some brainstorming with her mother and sisters, inspiration strikes. They’ll have a chocolate festival! Time’s running out, but the Sterling women are determined and the town’s behind them, so everything’s bound to go smoothly….
Or not. Events seem to be conspiring against Samantha, and her mother’s attempts to help aren’t helping. To make matters worse, the fate of her company is in the hands of her archenemy, Blake Preston, the bank manager with the football-hero good looks. It’s enough to drive her to chocolate. But Blake’s also enough to convince her that (believe it or not) there’s something even better than chocolate.

My Review:

I really liked Better Than Chocolate.  I finished the book in one day it was so good. I want to live in Icicle Falls, Washington.  It is such a cute town and everyone worked together. I think the story was very interesting and the characters were well described.

Samantha the oldest of three sisters was left to run the family Sweet Dreams Chocolate Company which had been in the family for four generations.  When she starts going through the paper work she finds out that the bank is call due the note on business because her stepfather had not kept up on the monthly payments.  She had to find a way to save the business.

So her two sisters, mom and her did some brainstorming and came up with having a chocolate festival.  Not only helping Sweet Dreams Chocolate but all of the business make some money.  They planned a lot of fun events for the weekend before Valentines Day all centered around Chocolate involving many of the businesses and local artist.

Does the festival save Sweet Dreams Chocolate Company? What happens with Blake Preston?  You will want to read Better Than Chocolate to find out what happens, I am sure you will enjoy this book as much as I did.
