Contemporary Romance
Title: Just Good Friends (Escape to New Zealand #2)
Author: Rosalind James
Date Published: 8/31/12
Synopsis:
Some bets were made to be lost.
Kate Lamonica isn’t Koti James’s type. Too small. Too dark. And heaps too much work. So it’s an easy bet that he can be her friend for six weeks without making a move on her, no matter what his mates would have said.
Kate can’t believe she’s made the bet at all. New Zealand had seemed like the perfect escape from the stalker who’d threatened first her peace of mind, and then her life. She certainly doesn’t need any more trouble. Why on earth has she agreed to spend time with a Maori rugby player who’s far too handsome and charming for his own good—and knows it?
But there’s more than one game Koti’s good at playing…

My Review:
I am was excited to read Just Good Friends.  I had read the first book in the series Just This Once and really liked it so I hoped Just Good Friends would be as good.  I was not disappointed.  I really liked the book and loved the setting of New Zealand.
Kate was being stalked by an a guy she had been dating.  He showed up at her house and tried to break in.  She was afraid of himHe would not leave her alone.  So she decided the best thing to do was to leave move to another city.  She had worked with Hannah who recently moved to New Zealand, and gave her a call.  Hannah and her new husband Drew were only too happy to help Kate out.
Kate moved to New Zealand got an apartment and also a job as an accountant.  She worked in the office of the rugby team Drew was on.  While working there she met Koti who also was on the rugby team Drew was on. They did not seem to hit it off very good at first.  Kate thought Koti was a jerk.  Then when he showed up on the beach she was swimming at - she thought maybe he was stalking her.  She had much to get over in her past.  Hannah assured her that Koti was a nice guy and that he would never harm a woman.  Kate and Koti end up spending more time together as they attend the same functions, and they become a bit more than friends.
Does Kate get over her fears? Does she let Koti get closer? You will need to read this second book in the New Zealand series to see what happens. I am sure like me, you can't wait to see what happens next!
